strawberry plants

Hi,
I have just bought my first strawberry plants, I have six,, they are still in their original pots. I would like to know what to do with them now. how to look after them etc

any help would be fab, I am a true novice at fruit and veg, my partner is cutting out a veg patch in the garden now as i type

If you want them indoors, put them in compost in 6" pots.
