i am going to have to move my polytunnel in a month or two an wondered if it would be ok to to put my grapevines back into larger pots and bring into the house for a while? until i can re-erect the polytunnel.
some of them have grown from 6 inch twig looking things to about eight foot leafy things ,i have 2 aurore,1 gagarin blue,2 marochal foch?
when would it be safe to prune the aurore a little as they are the ones which are really shooting up and it would be easier to move if they were not so tall and spindly.

    cheers

Won't they be all right outside for a bit? I'd be inclined to move them in the autumn (but maybe the area occupied by the tunnel is destined for something else once its taken down? in which case its either straight into the soil where the tunnel will be, with the added complication of then building the tunnel around them, or into decent sized pots.

You may want to cut them back, to combat the stress, and forego any crop this year.

But I aint no expert ...
