  • Plum trees on rootstock

We have inherited about 8 plum trees in our new garden. They must quite old & are very neglected. They don't have fruit on them but they do have nasty little suckers, loads & loads of them . Plums sprouting wherever you look. I am going to replace the old trees with a couple of new rootstock plums - does anyone know if rootstock plums produce suckers?

    Thanx very much

From what I can make out make sure the graft is well above soil level. This might helpGrowing plums
The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested, when you take, some knocks, some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.
