Mine gets something - crickly leaves that sometimes seem to have 'inhabitants' - but the thing fruits well and I hate to spray with chemicals. And I'm not prepared to uncurl each by hand and de-insect it!
I don't know if it will spread to your plum. Anyone else?
My Victoria plum has exactly what you describe, Flummery. Like you I've left well alone. I can't say if it will affect fruiting though as a late frost destroyed the blossom......all in all it's not been a good year for my poor old plum tree. Plus I've recently read somewhere that Victorias are rather prone to disease. I suppose I should have bought a different variety, but I just love them, so I'm prepared to take the risk. A second tree (also Victoria) which is growing on my exposed allotment though, had blossom a month later, missed the frost and is unaffected by any disease, so perhaps sometimes mollycoddling plants isn't a good idea.
well our victoria plum gets this too. If any bits look really manky, we just chop them off. It doesn't seem to affect fruiting though - the boughs are bowing under the weight of lovely plums.
