Figs - what do you feed them and how often?

you could try liquid cow manure one feed every 3 weeks with fruit.in autum mulch with homemade compost.[how are you growing it i.e in the ground or pot

I guess most things work to some extent? I have seven, so I suppose I could experiment with different techniques! They're all in pots.

I wonder should you concentrate on how much water to give them over how much food?

the best way to grow a fig is up against a south facing wall when you plant it you must line the hole top and the sides with old slabs to resrict the roots otherwise you get all leaf growth and no fruit.if you have them in pots be sure as they dont freeze solid or this will seriously check the growth for next year

Any good tomato fertilizer works well with figs. I use a comfrey/nettle liquid feed and give it once a week in summer.

I've been feeding mine weak worm tea. No idea if that is right but it's what I'm doing - first year with the fig but it looks healthy in it's pot with about half a dozen fruits gradually swelling.

Fig trees in pots or tubs benefit from being fed a high potash liquid feed, such as a tomato fertiliser, perhaps once a month during Spring, Summer and Autumn. They will also need to be kept watered if there is a drought

They don't need feeding at all, gilding the lily to feed a fig, make sure it's watered tho.
