I put a few each of summer (Glen Prosen) and autumn (Polka) canes in this year. I am now confused - the Polka have been cropping a large handful of v nice berries each day for about 2 weeks, quite a bit earlier than I expected for an 'autumn' type. The summer canes are starting to fruit now (in their first year) and are small and white/green so far, but will be ready to pick in a few weeks time. I know I didnt get them mixed up as they were delivered separately, but its a bit back to front for what I expected...

I got Joan J cos they don't have prickles, much safer for pruning and picking, lol.

I have Tulameen Raspberries, and it also took them three years before they had a decent crop. I get a small crop in July and the main crop later.

Trying Polka this year, they have grown well so far.

        I like autumn fruiting raspberries.
