    Hello folks

I am trying to grow Strawberries in containers.

I have plants which I grew from runners in the Spring, They never fruited much for the first time and I have been taking off the runners they produce.

The crowns have developed well but my problem is that some of them have turned into 2 or 3, do I divide them or leave them as they are? Please advise.

Leave them as they are. That's normal.
You can divide them if you desperately want more plants, but you're better off using runners for that.

I rescued several plants when I took over my plot at the end of last year and got a few very nice tasty fruits that look like little cheap supermarket ones. I have let runners form and will use them to produce a bed. The runners should by rights produce plants at the correct spacing so I am just going to lay them along the rows as they are.
