Compost for fruit cherry tree

Hi all,

I have ordered a dwarf sylvia cherry tree (approx 2 year old) and I plan to grow it in a 50cm pot. Which compost would be suitable for this? I am looking at John Innes 3 - would this be ok?

Not growing one myself, but it would seem a 20 inch pot that is heavy so it's not blown over, John Innes compost and feed twice a year with fish, blood and bone fertiliser.
