Seed-grown citrus finally flowering

I just noticed today that my massive seed-grown citrus is finally flowering. It has two (just two) flower buds on it.
Took long enough, seeing as it's now at least 12 years old. I hope the flowers pollinate...

I also realised today that my yuzu may well not actually be a yuzu... Yuzu are meant to have quite broadly winged petioles and copious thorns, and mine has no wings and only sparse thorns. And it's too late to send it back now... Well, it's flowering profusely at the moment, so I should be able to work out what it actually is once it produces fruit. I just pray it's not a lime. I hate limes. If it's not a yuzu then my plan of growing it outdoors is probably down the drain, though...

At least. It might be closer to 15. I really can't remember when I sowed it.

It's in a very large pot (I can barely manage to get it in and out for the winter), and the tree itself is about 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide.

It pretty much looks after itself at this point, to be honest. I keep it watered and fed, bring it in between November and April or so, and try to keep the aphids off it, and that's about it. If anything, it's a bit too vigorous. This year's growth is already some 8 inches or more, even though it's only the beginning of April.
It has definitely been a lot healthier and happier ever since I moved it to a soil-based potting mix a few years ago, though (it was just in compost before that). The downside is that it's a lot heavier.

They weren't so easy to look after as seedlings, though. I had about six seedlings at one point, but all but two died within a couple of years, and one more died a couple years later, leaving only this current one.

All that remains is to see what fruit it produces. I think it was a mandarin, but to be honest I can't really remember.

Well done I have a lemon tree aged 22 years it was a pip from the slice of Lemon in a Gin and Tonic offered by a long gone French friend its survived 3 house moves despite being dug up and going into storage and every now and again bears fruit in the garden

Not sure, actually. I haven't tried sniffing them.
My satsuma and my yuzu(?) are currently in flower in my conservatory, though, and they're definitely very scented. The whole conservatory smells of orange blossom.
