  • how to prune Glen Moy rasberries?

I planted some Glen Moy Rasberry canes last year, got them in the ground a bit late but most of them grew and produced a handful of fruit but there is not much 'cane' growth.

Reading up on pruning the advice is to remove all fuited canes and tie in 'new' cans.

But I've hardley got enough growth to prune & ties in, and think most of the cane fruited.

So should I prune it all back, leave it or take out the biggest canes ?

    Any advice welcomed,

    thanks,

    Chris.

As with all summer fruiting raspberries, Glen Moy canes that have fruited should be cut back to ground level as soon as all the fruit has been picked

If you don't think you've got enough 'new' canes to tie in I'd have a look at each cane especially the tips & see if they look like they fruited & cut out any which you think definitely did right down to the ground. Leave any you're not sure of or which didn't fruit & if there's not many just cut the tips off a few of those you're not certain of & they may fruit next year anyway.

Thanks for asking this Chris. I'm a newbie fruity too and I just bought some of these. Save my asking next year.
