Rhubarb crowns

I recency split a large rhubarb crown up probably about a month ago now but I left them outside and forgot about them it's been wet and frosty out will they still be OK to plant out I can see new buds appearing or is it too late

If you can see buds then they'll still be fine.
Rhubarb crowns are very tough. I've thrown pieces on the compost bin before and they've still be alive several months later, despite having no light the entire time. Another piece was left on the surface of a pile of garden waste, no soil, and was still alive months later.
