Vine in container

Hi all. I need some advice. I have a vine in a stone container. The vine is a couple of years old and the container is 18” x 18” x18”. Would it be ok to underplant with small bedding plants to give more interest. Cheers.

I don’t really know to be honest but , at a guess I can’t see why you couldn’t put something small in there . Small enough not to compete with the plant so long as you increase the watering?

It doesn’t sound a big pot though.
Maybe chance a chive ? They have pretty flowers and the bonus it you can keep cropping from them.
