  • Blackcurrant cuttings

Last winter I took some Blackcurrant cuttings, they have all taken and are in leaf approx 10”tall. What do I do next ?

Plant them out where you want them to grow or pot them up to get a bit bigger before planting them.

You should have thrown them into there proposed final growing position like spears as I did last year much earlier. I have got plants two feet or more high with lots of flowers now.
Trimmings often take rood in compost darleks so it is not worth the fuss.
Just plant them out and set cuttings next time.

Well done- always good to get free plants isn’t it? Especially those which provide food!

I've only got two blackcurrant bushes. Hoping to have loads in the future. Thanks for asking the question, Essexboy.
