The ones with sticky gum coming out of them will have plum moth caterpillars in them. The gum is coming out of the hole they burrowed into, and is the fruit's way of trying to seal the wound.
The ones going rotten will primarily be the ones with caterpillars, as the damage creates an entry point for the fungus.

The best you can do now is keep an eye on them and remove any showing any signs of rot immediately, to reduce spread to the other fruit.

Check the tree for wounds also, any splits in the bark caused by weight of fruit. Years ago,my Victoria got silver leaf through a split in the bark near the trunk area. The disease made all the fruit look ripe really quickly all at once but not edible it was odd, that was years ago but check the weight on the branches doesn’t cause a split.
