Have some grape wines planted last autumn, that i plan to train along post. Than when they grow a bit more i will make a trellis for them.
Now, wondering about which material to use for the post ?
Initial post i plan to be only 1 meter above the ground. Than when grape wine reach above 1 meter, than i would train them over lower trellis wire.
Plastic post are easy to find (aluminum post coated in plastic), and they are not too thick, perfect.
But i would like something more sustainable, if i can figure it out.
Looking for suggestions. Thank you.
I have some black locust tree trunks in different diameters, that i could use, but wondering what would be the right diameter ?
Also, raw spruce lumber is available to buy, which i can make into posts.
