  • Planting Raspberries and Gooseberry

Ok I'm going to finally get up to the plot this weekend, I plan to plant my new gooseberry bush and my 10 summer fruiting (thanks two-sheds for identifying them ) raspberry bushes.

As there is a hard frost forecasted for early next week, will this damage them?

Should I wait longer before planting them, all the books seem to suggest now is a good time???

Now is good, as they are still dormant (mine are just coming into growth now)

So long as your ground isn't waterlogged or frozen solid, get them in.

I have just put in Glen Moy and Autum Bliss...and a Gooseberry Leveller...and have a Kiwi fruit Jenny to put in but I am a little worried that it might be a bit tender. I think I will leave her in the pot for now.
