Sad Strawberry Plants

Hi All
Had a day in the garden tidying, cleaning etc, and noticed how dead looking my strawberry plants were. One had a few green leaves, but the others just brown leaves...any advice you can give me to revive them..?

chop off the dead leaves and leave em to it they should start sprouting soon.

They won't be starting into growth just yet, be patient.

You can force a couple by covering them with cloches, for a slightly earlier crop

They should be fine Braders. I normally give my strawbs a haircut in late autumn, so no real leaves left. They then start to grow again in spring, so you will see signs of growth in a few weeks or so.

I got mine through the post last week & with the help of answer on this great site popped them into new compost mixed with sharp sand, trimmed off the brown leaves and now they are very happy putting on new growth.They are now in the unheated grenhouse

Trimmed off all the brown leaves, and repotted into bigger pots today...thanks for all the advice guys...roll on summer..lol..a bit milder tonight though..no frost..hope its the same tomorrow, so I can get stuck into more jobs in the garden.
