  • Conifers with strange red tips-disease?

    Hi,

We moved into our new house about 8 months ago and it's a beautiful garden, lots of conifers and shrubs.
However, the other day I noticed on a couple of conifers they have strange red tips that weren't there before, they nearly look like little lady birds have landed on the ends of their leaves.
Does anyone know what this is? Is it some kind of disease?

    It's probably the seeds?

Ours did this last month, they never have flowered before, theyve been there about 8 years, i added loads of fertiliser to the soil last year and now they seem to be flowering, they look like realy tiny red and black pine cones after a few weeks

Flowers so primitive that supposedly the dinosaurs saw the same thing...boggles my mind !
