  • Help with Grapevine needed!

I bought a grape vine a few weeks ago and it was growing really well in my conservatory. I put it in the greenhouse at the beginning of the week and it continued to do well. I went into the greenhouse this afternoon and the leaves are starting to shrivel up!

Does anyone know what could be wrong with it? It's also got some white spots (a bit like watery tippex) at the ends of the tips of the leaves, not sure if it's related. It was absolutely fine yesterday!

In the meantime I've brought it back into the conservatory. Have I killed it?? Do you think it might be due to over watering?

Any help would be very gratefully received!

    Thanks
    Annette

Too cold probably, you can't just have something in the warm and put it in the cold without Hardening it off. It was very cold last night so that's what has probably tipped it over the edge.

What's the best way of hardening off and how long for? Do you think it will recover?

      Thanks

The new leaves have now shrivelled up and gone crispy! Is there anyway I can revive it? Should it cut the dead ones off or leave them to fall off on their own? Will it ever recover - I'm gutted!

Please help - I'm new to gardening and haven't got a clue!!

Grapevines are really tough. I had some cuttings just lobbed in containers outside over the winter and they are just coming into life. My big one I just leave to it apart from a prune in winter.

As for yours, I would leave it where it is and water it infrequently and see what happens. Could be that the Greenhouse got too hot in fact and might be better left outdoors.
