anyone grown one - noticed in search that a few people seemed to have bought one, any success? Most other threads seem to be more about kiwi jenny
I read that it is supposed to need 150 frost free days but can survive down to -25.

The fig tree is only 9 cm high, how long do you have to wait to mature?

I got my Issai Arguta for £5. It was only 6inches tall, and probably a year old, but it's now sporting about 5 or 6 lovely looking healthy shoots.

I think this type of kiwi is a little less rampant but hardier than Jenny - and it produces smaller, sweeter hairless fruits as far as I understand.

I planted one at the end of last year, just sprouting now and looks healthy, haven't got a clue how fast it is going to grow, or what to do with it tbh

I'm all confused now, my arguta has around 7 or 8 shoots that are growing at quite a speed.
Just looked at Titchmarshes book and he advises growing them as a single stem growing horizontally to the top of the cane or whatever, then pinch them out. Then let some sideshoots go along wires, then some other stuff, but the main thing is the one stem going up.

So please advise, anyone who knows what they are talking about, do I cut off all but one shoot, or what?
