Do strawberries need to be pollinated by bees and such? I am asking cos mine have ended up in the bed covered with enviromesh. Bad planning but hey

Why did you cover with environmesh? I cover with netting after the fruit has set and to keep the birds off which are the major pests. -
Cos they kinda ended up in the brassica bed! It wasnt a brassica bed when I planted them!

I'd peel the net off them as i believe they do need a wee bit of insect help if you want fruit...Mine are starting to flower too.Serene she stand amid the flowers,

I use an old make fine make up brush, seems to do the trick with the tomatoes and chillis too.Comment
