Tonight when I went out to water the polytunnel I had a pleasant suprise - a nice red ripe juicy starwberry in one of the hanging baskets in the middle of the tunnel - delish it was too ! Bit of a freak though - none of the other berries on that plant or any of them for that matter are even pink yet!

I've got lots of green berries in the tunnel which OH is guarding with avengence - we had none last year because I over fed them

Lovely Rat. The strawberries in the shops are horrible and lovely local strawberries are great. I've got no fruit beds organised yet (only moved here last year) but plan to get the fruit bed made and have strawberries for next year.
