Look at these little smashers!! I read somewhere that meths was good for their removal? They're playing havoc with the leaves on the tree. Anyone experienced these before?

I think everybody has experienced greenfly Sarah. If you are not an organic gardener there are loads of sprays available. If you are organic you can buy biological controls that will eat them or even spray with a mixture of water and soft soap.Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?
