Quince Problem

Can anyone help please, I put a Quince tree in about 6weeks ago and its showing some new growth, but the leaves on the original growth are gowing rusty for want of a better description, any ideas what this is and what I can do about it

Difficult to say without seeing a picture, but I'd guess:

Not enough water has caused drying and death of the leaf edges.

Too much rain has caused scab fungus.

It really is a "rust" fungus.
