Whats this on the strawberry???

I've picked some strawberries today, on one was a thing.....it looked like a tick burrowing into the strawberry. It sort of resembles a ladybird larva but fatter.
Any ideas anyone? Its front end was actually stuck in the fruit like a tick

It isn't a tick. The picture is very small, but it looks a bit like the bug I found on my fuschia last year. If so it's the pupa of a ladybird, so it shouldn't harm your fruit.

Hi,,yes it looked like that! I thought it looked a bitlike a ladybird pupa, but it seemed a bit fat! and its head was stuck into the strawberry!

It is definitely a ladybird pupa. Heywayne posted a bigger pic of one a few days ago.

Maye we are going to get giant ladybirds to get rid of all these greenfly!!!
