Photo: Whose eggs are these?

I found these on my white currents next to raspberries. I broke off the leaf to photograph it but most of the black beetles ran off!

I've never seen these before. What are they? Are they sinister? Will they harm the rasps?

I haven't a clue but I would watch and see if any damage is done to your rasps. before taking action. They may even be good guys!!
