Can you ripen these off the plant. We have just cut our down but have saved many green fruits. Will they ripen in our kitchen or should we compost them.

I have just read my book and they will ripen on the windowsill.

I've had a load on my window sill for a couple of weeks now. some have started to ripen but others have gone mouldy. I suggest keeping an eye on them and removing the manky ones they seem to take a very long time to ripen!
