It really depends on whether it is the North American bush or whether it is the annual garden huckleberry. If it is the latter, have a look at this page huckleberry

I have grown the new type wonderberries in my garden and poly tunnel this year and I must say my garden ones have faired far better. They have gone mad and I am harvesting them daily as they ripen at different rates. I was told that they are not dis-similar to blueberries and as I am a lover of blue berries I thought why not. I can't say I know what they taste like yet as I'm building up enough to make jam/jelly out of them. Worth giving a go, my veg patch although basking in sunshine for most of the day is also on a slope and not overly protected from wind and they have seemed fine with that. Also I inadvertently planted a tomato plant amongst them (yea I know, it wasn't until afterwards that I noticed and then cba to move it) It seems to have been completely protected from blight and I have a good crop of toms ripening as well..result

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....
Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

Hi Red Thorn. For the past three years I have had blighted toms outdoors so I just gave up and bought one of those placcie walk in poly tunnel jobs. Toms have been great in there apart from the fact that I have lost some as I was feeding them with the B&Q living organic tom feed which has now been found to contain herbicide
Anyway perhaps thats the trick, grow your outdoor toms amongst other stuff and perhaps they are protected.
However its been so windy over here that all my wonderberry plants are flattened like a giant berry crop circle
Ooh its been a testing year !!
