Strawberry bed To manure or not?

I am in the process of sorting out a strawberry bed, I have the plants that were bought this summer and kept in a baskrt type container, but now I have space in a bed to put them out.
The bed previously grew alliums, so my question is, as I have some well rotted pony poo to put in the beds should I put some in for the strawberries?

You can mix in 6 month old horse manure into strawberry beds, they will thrive on it. DO NOT USE FRESH.
