Done this on the veggies and still can't spell(might be right, not sure)..
Strawberries have been fantastic this year, jam(didn't set properly),flans, fruit salads, just on their own, really tasty, now finished.
Apples have been a disaster, really bad scab, read "our doctor apples"thread so I think I'm going try a bit more open pruning on the James Greive,I may have to resort to spraying the Howgate wonder. The wrongly named red eater had one apple due to it being a later flowerer than the others, adding a new tree later to fix this.
Goosegogs were hammered by the caterpillars, but we got plenty of reasonable fruit.
Blackcurrent was it's first year,so kept the crop small to give the bush a good start, had a few fresh with ice cream, very tart but tasty.
Tayberries coming out our ears, mainly going into wine production, not bad with ice cream.
Raspberries are autumn variety as my earlies died off, just starting to harvest, huge tasty fruits.Again came from our local bartering system so I don't know the variety and sadly dear old Bob is no longer with us to ask.
Thats it for this year as I put the rhubub under the veggie section(just showing off, read it in a book that it's a veg).
How's it gone/going for you guys?
