Having got a shed full of rooted strawberry runners detached from their parent plants what do i do ? plant them out now?

Might as well. Water them in well

Ah good old South Yorkshire - we are just over the otherside of town and I put mine in around this time last year (much to the protestations of the know it all next door!) They were excellent this years as they had time to get rooted!
