Although I have taken over my lottie, its not really mine until 1.04.07 - the current owner (get, it current owner!!!!????) has around 6 raspberry bushes in the corner of the lottie (very small stick like things) and Im not allowed to move anything till April - should I keep them in their current (sorry, once again!!!) position or can I move them in April to the position I want them to be in? Any advice grapefully (!!) received! Boy, am I on good form tonight!! Dexterdog

Glad your lottie has got you out of hibernation, DDL!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

      Hi DDL,

I'd leave them whre they are They are good for about 15 years. If you want them somewhere else I' wait till they start to succker & move some of those that way you'll still have Raspberries while the new ones are bedding in

DDL this gets curiouser and curiouser!!

I am after an unused lottie but because someone has paid up til April I can't have it yet! There's two semi-derelict grreenhouses on it which I could do with NOW! I may make some more approaches and see if, like you I could start tidying one of them but not touch the rest of the lottie til April. Worth a try anyway!!!

        Good luck with yours btw!

ddl, leave them for this year and work around them, it will take you longer than you think to get the rest sorted and you will have raspberrys in 2007.
next winter if you still want to move them wait till their dormant. presume you dont know the veriety? just wait till their absolutly not busy then move them with lots of kindness. note which branches produce this year. good luck!
