  • Pruning of honeyberry/edible honeysuckle?

Does anybody know if, how and/or when I should prune my honeyberry bushes?

I have a couple of bushes (I don't know the variety) of excellent tasting honeyberries(Lonicera caerulea edulis) but they are looking more and more thin and scrubby. I haven't found any information about this anywhere so can you help me?

    I googled for ya:
Pruning: Removal of dead branches is the only pruning recommended during the first three to five years after planting. After this, every two to three years in early spring, before growth begins, remove broken branches and thin out weak and small shoots
