I am one of the old school when it comes to rules. I just consider what I think will work and do it. My rasps are grown in rows with a pole every 8 feet and wires stretched between the poles. If you only have 4 I would simply support them on canes. A neighbour of mine just let's them grow rampant and cuts them back every October (Summer fruiting). It seems to work for her and even my looks of shock-horror hasn't stopped them producing loads of fruit.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

I've never actually tried this, you understand, but I've heard that the best way is to put all 4 equally spaced around a large pot, with a cane wigwam (one cane for each...erm...cane) for support. This would probably only work well if they were autumn fruiting ones though.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
