  • I had a little fig tree nothing would it bear!!

Put this new shoots but don't think anyone could help so put it on here.

Don't know if this should be here or on the fruit thread but here goes. I have a fig tree in a pot to restrain the roots. It's 2/3 years old. Last year at this time I had 1 small fig that had to be taken off and this year the same 1 fig
I can't see any embryo figs in the offing. Does anyone know what if anything I am doing wrong. I have read the instruction manual and appear to have done everything right.

    Many thanks

Remove the figs now as they won't develop. You'll only get one lot that start to show in spring. I had 19 start out and ended up with only 3, but they were delicious. My plant is only 3 yrs old.

I had quite a few figs of my older tree (7 years old), but my baby (3 years old) I had just the 1. Remember....good things come to those who wait.

I have a tiny one growing in conservatory, its doing very well about 40cms tall. I saw some fully grown ones in Clifton (Bristol) in a public garden recently - I loves the shape of the leaves and the spread - figs secondary.

Excuse the image is a little blurred....
