I was just tidying and battening down hatches yesterday when I noticed that a young blueberry had suddenly produced strong new growth and flower buds. Is it dreaming?

So very strange. I thought I had a couple of late raspberries but they fruited early so I will have to wait and see next year. Bit worrying because the book says cut late ones back in winter so I'm not sure what to do with mine. My garden is still full of colour. Lobelia, hybrid busy lizzie etc. with the primula coming through

You probably have the same temp and climate as me in So'ton...I have cut my summer fruiting ones down but it would be such a shame to cut the autumn one down...I get a tittle treat to eat everytime I go out in the garden

Mine too. Even as far north as Scarborough my (autumn) raspberries are still fruiting merrily. Guess it must be the sea effect here.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

GQT remarked that the fine weather in September and October has encouraged daffs in particular into early growth with many of them having 3" and 4" of growth on and primulas and polyanthus growing too. They concluded that only the very harshest of frosts was likely to cause them damage.
