    Well, we actually got a LOT of olive tree blossoms last year, probably because the tree needs repotting this spring. We also got LOTS of minute olives all over the tree by about July, but of course, the growing season was too short and not hot enough here to bring it on into making proper sized olives.

    The thing is, as you say, the branches will be beautiful when they are older and more twisted and we mainly use it to decorate the patio, along with other pots. It's just a bit of a shame, since it would be really wonderful to have a "grow-anything-you-like" climate, but I don't think anywhere has that. Still, the backs of the leaves shimmer silver in the evening sun sometimes when there is a breeze, so we have to be grateful for small mercies.
