I cut my summer ones back in the autumn and my autumn ones were cut back last Friday. Don't know if this is correct but it works for me.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Sometimes it's not a case of whether something is "correct" or "by the book" - it is often better to let your own experiences guide you.
They're your plants, in your climate. You know them better than anyone else and you know what gets you acceptable results.

Let's be honest about this, summer fruiters are a waste of space. The newer autumn fruiting hybrids start fruiting about July anyway and fruit far more heavily than the usual summer fruiters. You can get earlier summer fruiters but not much, and they are usually very light croppers. If my summer fruiters (Glen Ample and Glen Moy) don't pull their socks up this summer the lot will be replaced next year with Polkas, which are perfick, just perfick. It solves a lot of problems too Wayne.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

              >If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?

Not in my opinion, had tonnes off mine last year and have loads of jams, fruit vinegar and frozen / bottled ones left. They started fruiting mid June and the autumn ones didn't come along until about early September, way after the summer ones had finished. I say, get both.
