Apple and Pear Trees

Hi! Can anyone help me , I have a green,( like a skin ) sheen over my Trees
and branches. It looks so bad, could be all the rain we've had. Anyone any idea how to get rid of same. Would be most grateful. Thanks.

It's algae and harmless. No need to worry.

Although I don't have much proof, I believe that those kind of things that grow naturally on the trees actually protect the tree from more harmful attacks by blocking the entry point of the disease.
I would just leave them.

Sounds like algae,good sign of clean air so you have nothing to worry about.

Many thanks fellars for your info regarding my Apple and pear trees.Nice to know I have nothing to worry about. It looks a bit unsightly but maybe it will clear up when the weather gets better.Thanks again.
