  • nectarine tree

    Hiya,
I have a nectarine tree. I have a fairly young (roughly 3 years old) nectarine tree. Its been looking quite sad but have been hoping it will come up nicely this year. The top branches are looking nice and have quite a few buds on but the lower branches are quite brittle. There is green if I scrape the branches at the top but the lower ones are still brown underneath. Does this make sense at all lol? Any idea if its just going to die off or what?

Don't know if this is any use Jax but I had a nectarine a few years ago. I may be a bit to the north of you but am right on the coast and normally our winters are mild (except 2010). Mine died with similar symptoms after a cold winter. I am advised that nectarines are very sensitive to cold, more so than peaches, and are not suitable for 'north of Watford'. I think it is therefore a weather thing. Just hope it recovers. Sad to say, mine didn't.

Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

I've got one in a pot and that has more brittle looking branches than green ones - it was given to me as a birthday present - so I hope it bucks up..
