Now please don't laugh,
I bought 2 packs of rhubarb, from a chainstore type place, so they were wrapped in plastic, not potted up.
One had a couple of shoots so that was okay, the other one, when I moved the compost around a bit, it just looked like a block of stumpy wood with no signs of life.
i have sort of laid it on it's side in some compost to see if any life comes from either end, but so far after 3 weeks no joy, is there any way to tell one end from the other if I try planting it.
sunymay.
