  • Peach under fleece

My peach is container grown and sited along the back house wall. I gave it several layers of fleece last autumn and it is now in full bud with some flower breaking. How will this blossom get pollinated if it is undercover. Do I uncover during the day and protect at night and when can I spray with fungicide. It has suffered in the past with leaf curl.

      Hi Brengirl,

Peach leaf curl is definitely a problem to keep your eye on. When you notice damage on the fresh shoots it's usually to late. Just be aware when you are buying a fungicide though some peaches are a little bit sensitive to copper sprays.

Nicos is right as well keep the rain off the peach but let it breath during a none rainy day prevention is always better than having to buy pesticides.
