New to raspberries

Last spring I bought some raspberry canes. 3 summer and 3 autumn. I cut the summer ones down after fruiting and have just cut back the late ones.
The early ones sent up new canes during the season but I now see strong new growth emerging all over the the bed. Will they bear fruit?

Hi Brengirl. Summer fruiting raspberries bear fruit on the previous year's canes. What you need to do is let the canes grow this year and they will fruit next year as well as producing new canes. Thin out any you don't need (i.e. if they are crowded). After they've borne fruit you cut out those canes and leave the new canes for the following year - hope you get what I mean.

That is good news Rusty. I would happily have raspberries take over my garden. I prefer them to the tayberry and strawberries.
