hi there i like the name, but reason im writing to you is that i have a gojiberry in my garden. its only small, and iv not grown them before, so i thought with your name you may know a bit about the plant and how to care for it, i only planted it this year and i dont want to loose it when winter comes, as i have lost so many over the last two years
cheers sue

Goji and Pineberry
Sue - about your concern for Goji berries, I wouldn't worry about the effect of winter on them. They are very hardy, I have had mine for 2-3 years, and it made it through a foot of snow for a couple of weeks this winter. The only issue I have is the little blighter doesn't seem to want to fruit, although it looks really healthy.
I got my pineberry last month and it is growing well, I have decided I am just going to treat it like a strawberry, I have pics of both the pineberry and goji on my blog, here is a link to the most recent article on the pineberry that has links showing its progress over the last couple of weeks. Pineberry Update
Sue - I will post up some up to date pics of the goji as I sort of lost interest when it didn't fruit!

Pineberry / Pineberries
These musk strawberries don't look the same - the pineberry I am growing is white to pink in colour with red seeds. The pineberry has been cultivated by Vitalberry, also, there is no price on the musk strawberry.Last edited by gardensmall; 05-06-2011, 04:44 PM.

I've got the white strawberries from Wilkos too - I've only had time to look at the front of the packet and it doesn't mention a variety - will be good to find out .....

i have had pineberries for a year now and none of my 6 plants had berries. are there any special requirements for them? i had loads of runners but i don't know if any of my runners survived as they got mixed up with my normal strawberry runners. is the any way of telling them apart? Thanks.
