Firstly hello all, new to the forum so introductions first.
I Currently have some fruit growing in pots in the yard and end of May my partner and I will be moving back to her parents. They have a good sized garden with plenty of space to grow several fruit and vegetable plants/ trees.
Anyway her mum used to grow runner beans in a huge plant pot on the patio which died off a couple of years ago and now is just a large plant pot filled with soil just aching to be used.
It is fairly large, maybe 60cm diameter and 90cm deep and just wondering would it be possible to grow several fruit bushes, shrubs in this pot.
1) Will this cause dominancy and competition for the roots and growth?
2) Is there any concern with cross pollination creating mutant fruits (some work and taste great and some foul which have read up so far?)
