I am trying desperately to keep my lemon tree thriving. It is in my conservatory and I have two concerns! It came from the garden centre on a lovely little frame, should I keep it tied up or release it!! Its quite big and I'm worried about it being weighed down. Also their seems to be tiny little holes appearing in the leaves, have I got a mite? It looks very green but the leaves seem to wither quite a bit and I keep knocking off the lovely white flower buds!! Not sure its going to live!! Any advice very much appreciated! Thanks

is your conservatory heated jo? if not that could be why your losing buds and the leaves wither.
As to holes in leaves. It wouldn't suprise me as garden centres are a great breeding ground for pests & diseases. Have a good look all over the tree especially under the leaves.
any shance of a foto of the frame you mean? it may be there for support ofr it may just be a cosmetic thing so can't really say without seeing it.

Nick, the conservatory is heated, but it isn't particularly warm. I have placed it on the windowsill, and perhaps it is getting a draft from somewhere! I will endeavour to take a pic of the frame and you will also see what I mean about the leaves withering. Thanks for the advice. Will get my magnifying glass out to to spy pests!!!

We've found some very small pin-prick type holes in some of our lemon tree leaves, worked out that they were the stab holes that the long thin spines made during transit from the garden center when we first grew them, so I wonder if it could be something similar Jo?Blessings
