i planted a quince last year (got it at Harrogate Flower Show so about this time) it produced leaves and grew a little bit, but so far this year nothing, it doesnt seem to be producing any buds or showing any sign of life, do you think i've lost it because of the hard winter or should i wait a bit longer, thanks

Mine was planted last November - it is a little shocked and the leaves are only just starting, Hans Mum - much later than the John Downie crab apple planted nearby.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Don't know if you've got a shrub or a tree Hans Mum but I have one of each, both planted 2 years ago. The japanese shrub has flowered for the first time about a week ago but the tree just has 'lickle' leaves on. Neither did much last year so I would leave it a bit longer before panicking.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
