I have 2 rhubarb crowns that seem to be doing well, but the rhubarb is very different
The first has been in the ground for a few years - it produces stalks that are 18" long, 1" thick - it's the only crown that I've planted out that has survived - any others I plant just die
The second is in a very large bucket (a temporary measure as I couldn't dig and plant last year and haven't had time this year) - this has much smaller stalks, maybe 1/4" to 3/8" thick, 10" long - it produces a lot of stalks that start growing then wilt - a handful are fine
Are they different varieties? Or is the bucket one so much smaller because it's stuck in a bucket?
