I have an early, Cambridge Vigour. Normally it would start fruiting by the end of the first week in June, but this year they are about 2 weeks late.

Sorry for the late reply - only just noticed your posting.

My earlies are mostly Alice and Christine. The first couple of fruits from the earlies have reached a good size and are beginning to turn orange, so they'll probably be ripe within a few days.

My late strawberries are mostly Pegasus and Symphony. They've been outdoors all winter.
Things are messed up here, due to the long cold winter and some very late frosts. Spring normally comes very early and in most years don't get a frost after March. This year we had frosts in the first week of May - the latest frost I've seen in my lifetime.

OH and I have been very accuratly sharing. We've each had one and a half strawberries thus far, and we're both intensly aware of the next five reddening on the plants. I've picked off the runners as they're in their first year, and have put them in a glass of water, which they seem to be doing fine!

Well, the first of the ripening fruits have since been eaten by the blackbirds.
