    Hiya,
My strawbs are looking a little sad. They have been split into 4 beds for easy netting and are container grown. We have one to a pot so as to not overcrowd them but in the middle of each bed we have a patch of strawb leaves going brown and crispy. Its only come on in the last few days, I have no ideas other than possibly sunburn but why only inthe middle of eah bed.

Apologies,Blood,Fish and Bone is a slow release fetilizer, yes if in pots and plants are putting on flower and fruit then nutrients could be low.If they have been "well watered" you can rinse out some of the composts nutrients.Potash is a good tonic for most fruits.

You can make your own potash by keeping ash from WOOD ONLY fires, this was an old spring dressing for raspberries and strawberries, before garden centres had been invented.

okie dokes, was also considering perhaps aphids could be affecting them. So would I be right in thinking soapy water will get rid of aphids.

Am gonna get a potash feed on tuesday so could do both to cover all basis
